How long do I wait between wax treatments?

between 5 to 10mm would be the best length. Are you coming for the first time? We recommend waiting at least two week after your last shaving.

How can I prepare myself for the wax treatment?

Important is to scrub wel, one day up front. This makes the hairs stand up straight. Better not to use lotion or oil before you come, the wax doesn't do well on greasy skin.

What kind of wax do you use?

We use a mix of strip and hard wax from Better Waxing Technology. Great for all skin types, also the sensitive one.

How often do I wax and how long will the hairs stay away?

The hairs will be growing regularly after the third time waxen. The hair will stay invisible up to two week. On average there are 4 to 5 weeks between the treatments.

Will my hair grow less or stop growing through waxing?

Waxing does not affect the growth of the existing hair. But if the hair roots are frequently damaged do to waxing, some hairs do not come back. If you stop waxing and switch back to shaving, you would nullify this effect. Waxing is not a definitive form of hair removal.

Do the hairs come back softer?

A direct advantage of waxing is that the hairs grow back with a relatively thin tip. As a result, the amount of hair appears to be less. This is in contrast to depilation with depilatory cream or razor, where the hair grows hard and blunt (the well-known “stubble”).

What types of bikini wax treatments do you offer?

1) Bikini line: This is everything outside of your bikini bottom in the groin (beginning of your legs). The buttock seam (In-between the but) is not included.

2) G-string: This is the bikini line taken more to the inside and the buttock seam.

3) Full brazilian: Everything is removed here, labia, top (Venus hill), groin and buttock seam. You can choose to leave a triangle, strip or other figure at the top.

Can I wax when I am pregnant?

Yes, it is not harmful to the baby. It can be a bit more sensitive.

I have had my period, now what?

It can of course be a bit more sensitive, although this is very person-bound. As long as you wear a tampon, we do not mind.

What are the do's and don'ts after the treatment?

- We do not recommend exercising immediately after because of irritation friction and sweat can cause.

- No hot bath or too hot shower

- No sauna

- No tanning salon (Can cause pigmentation)

- Avoid sunbathing (same reason as the sunbed, but slightly less harmful. Make sure you apply a factor of 50)

- Avoid swimming (if that doesn't work, then clean the skin well)

- Avoid using deodorant for up to 24 hours after treatment.

Allergic to rosin (brown plaster allergy)?

Then you cannot wax with us unfortunately, because this is incorporated in our wax. Rosin is a vegetable substance obtained from the resin of coniferous trees of the Pinus family of trees. This fabric is an addition to wax and can be found in many products such as plasters, photo paper, chewing gum, ink and in spruce/pine trees.

I suffer from irritated skin

If your skin is irritated, red, or damaged, it is better to postpone your wax treatment.

If you use medication that makes the skin thinner (this is often acne medication), first ask your doctor / doctor for advice.

What are ingrown hairs?

With waxing we remove the hair completely from underneath the skin. It can happen that the hairs get stuck behind the skin during regrowth. The sebum production or gland is then blocked, so that your body can give an inflammatory reaction, with that (painful) red bump as a result.

What do I do against ingrown hair?

By exfoliating the skin and keeping is clean, we give the hair more chance to pierce through the skin. You can also use antibacterial and anti-inflammatory oil on daily base, such as; Coconut oil, essential oil (tea tree or lavender) or buy an oil in the salon. Feel free to ask us for advice!

How often should I exfoliate?

2 to 3 times a week is sufficient. Your skin cells are replacing itself, on average, every 3 days. So exfoliating every day is not necessary and can even cause you to damage the skin.

Can I scrub ingrown hairs out of the skin?

No! Unfortunately, this is a common mistake. When you do this.. exfoliating too hard, you also break the skin. Small crusts then appear which the hair can no longer pierce. With more ingrown hairs as a result. Better to prevent that to heal ;)

What kind of scrub can I use?

For the face, the intimate area and under the armpits you always use a mild scrub. The skin is thinner here. For the rest of the body you can use a somewhat firmer scrub. We offer different scrubs, get more information in the salon.

How do you shape the eyebrows?

Before treatment, we first discuss the plan and you can tell what your preference is. After cleaning the skin, we remove most of the hair with wax. This is a special wax that is made for the face and causes little to no irritation. Then we do the precision work with the tweezers and trim the brow. As a finishing touch, we use a homemade oil to nourish and soothe the skin. The hair is brushed up neatly with an eyebrow gel. Et voila!

How often should I dye my eyebrows / lashes?

Do you have very light eyebrows? Then we recommend to do this every 3 weeks. This way you avoid that it will be a 'drastic' transformation every time and so that your environment does not notice that it is not your natural brow color;) Those with dark hair can often wait a little longer.

How long does the 'regular' dye last?

The paint stays on the hairs for an average of 5 weeks. Sometimes the skin also colors a bit, this is gone after a day or 2.

How long does the henna last?

The paint stains the skin for 1 to 2 weeks on average and stays in the hair for about 5 weeks.

Why not to use 'normal' paint when I have just done henna?

From normal to henna is not a problem, but a chemical reaction can occur the other way around. This can cause discoloration. So make sure that the henna has outgrown (almost) fully when you switch to normal paint.

Which paint do you use for the lashes?

We never use henna on the eyelashes, but always a special eyelash dye. You can choose between black or brown.

I can't take lash extensions. Can I get an Lashlift treatment?

That is possible. Incidentally, it is not excluded that there is another component that you could be sensitive to.

We advise not to wear mascara for the first 24 hours. This can trigger a chemical reaction that results in a sagging weld lift.

Can I exercise or shower immediately after the treatment?

No, the eyelashes must remain dry for the first 24 hours. We also advise you not to use the sunbed or sauna for 48 hours.

Do you also wax 'boyzilians' / intimate zone?

No. We do not perform intimate wax treatments on men.

Can you wax my beard?

No. We like to leave this job to the hairdresser.

Do you also do eyebrows for men?

Yes! We can update the eyebrows very naturally for you without a 'fake/made' effect.

Do I have to trim first?

A hair length between 5-10mm would be perfect for waxing. When the hairs are longer than 10mm they can break easily and it also hurts more. If you are going to work with the trimmer, make sure you set the stand to 10mm. We don't want to accidentally make them to short!
